Students and Parents,
Yesterday was a great day at Golden Central. In the College/Career Sunday School we looked at Abraham, Isaac, and the sacrifice on Mt. Moriah. Daniel did a great job leading the group and during the discussion time everyone got involved.
The messages Bro. Mickey shared were right on and I anticipate next Sunday. If you missed the worship services yesterday you missed some powerful music and preaching. Don't miss next Sunday!
Inbetween services I went to Red Bay and checked out the new skatepark. It is very nice. I wished something like that had been built when I was a youth. I ended up hanging out with some of our students, Austin and Drake, for awhile before I needed to get back to the church. I was humbled when I tried to do some tricks on one of their boards. I didnt' break any arms, but I did get some "road rash" on my elbow! Check out the picture. Yeah!
Daniel, Gavin, and Bradley took me to a pizza place called "Mr. J's" after church. We had a blast. Red Bay is a neat place. I look forward to getting familiar with that area as I serve the students of Golden Central.
Be looking in your mailbox the next couple of days. You should get something about a movie night and also a reminder about camp.
