I hope this blog finds you doing well. I wanted to remind you all of our camp meeting May 4th at 5:00pm in the youth sanctuary. I will go over details for camp and you will be given all the necessary forms to complete. I will also try to answer any questions you may have. We still have plenty of spots so if you haven't signed up you can do so this week. We also have a need for a few more counselor/family group leaders so if you're a parent or college age student who would like to be involved let me know.
As a devotional note, I was reading John 2 this morning. Here's the scoop. The scene is a wedding celebration. And the host has ran out of wine.....you know the story. But there is an interesting statement in verse 5. Mary says, "whatever He says to you, do it." That is a great statement and a wise word. "Whatever He says to you, do it." "Whatever"- that is a broad term and we are reminded that Jesus has authority over all (Col. 1). However vast the situation is, Jesus is there. The word "it" is a specific word and Jesus will lead us in the specifics of our situations too. Notice a very important truth in this statement as well. "Whatever He says.." Jesus speaks!!! That is a great encouragement to us. Jesus speaks to His children. What is Jesus telling me to do today? What is Jesus telling you to do today? Praise Him. He has the authority, He speaks, and we get to be a part of what He is doing.
