Our Camp Pastor

Students and Parents,

I wanted to take a minute and give you a bit of information about our camp pastor for this summer's youth camp. His name is Ed Newton. I talked to one of my youth pastor friends who highly recommended this guy. As I was praying in January about trying to find the student group a good, solid, and well-rounded camp I immediately thought of Student Life. Then when I went to look at the dates that were still open (camps get full fast!), I noticed Ed was going to be doing one of their camps. That camp was open and the rest is history. I noticed on Yahoo News that America's number one book is the Bible. The article makes me have two thoughts - 1) I am glad that our society still has some conscience as to having God's Word in their culture and lives, & 2) What if all those that read the Bible took it for what it is (2 Timothy 3:16,17; Hebrews 4:12) and applied it to their lives! We would have revival in this country, in our homes, and in our school systems!
