Parents and Students, Our "Awesome August" meetings are coming to an end this week as we look toward September. I hope you all have been able to attend these special evenings of worship. Bro. Bill Stafford will be with us tonight. It will be another special time, don't miss it!
I appreciate you all so much for being so welcoming to my friend Tommy Wilson and Living Free Ministries yesterday. Our worship services have been a real "sweet" time with the Lord and yesterday was no exception. I know there are a lot of hurting families who deal with either personal addictions or are struggling with inabling a loved one with their addiction. It is not always easy to discern when our efforts are hurting or helping someone have victory. I appreciate Bro. Tommy coming to share with us about "Holding the Rope" for others. As we have more people come into our fellowship and into our youth ministry it will be vital that we be "Jesus with skin on" for one another. This will be a testimony to our community.
I wanted to remind you that we will leave @3:30pm Saturday to go to the Ignite Youth Explosion in Corinth, MS. Be sure to have your canned goods with you. I will have some labels made to attach to each can so it will help the folks at the arena to process us thru the door quicker. Please arrive at the church parking lot before 3:30pm so we can leave out promptly. Bring money for supper. We will eat before we go to the event. I plan on having you back by 11:00pm. See you this week.
