Students and Parents,This past Monday-Wednesday I took a few vacation days and went to a student pastor's retreat in Birmingham, AL. It was a great time to unwind and retreat from the daily grind of work, school, and my responsibilities at GC. I appreciate our leadership at Golden Central for providing me the opportunity to go to such an event. You all are good to me and I am thankful for it!
I want to take a moment and personally thank Daniel Syers and Amber Hale for leading us in worship last night in our youth service. It was nice to sit and hear Amber lead us in song and then hear Daniel share a message from God's Word. It was a delight for me, a learning experience for them, and a chance for the body of Christ to exercise itself by using its' gifts. To Jesus be the glory.
The next few weeks will be "low key" for us as far as events are concerned. We will try to have a game night around the end of the month or at the beginning of October. Enjoy your week. May the Lord refresh you with His touch as you head into the weekend.
