Parents and Students,I hope as I write this post that each of you are doing well and gearing up for a new month. For the last several weeks we have been in a new series on Wednesday nights entitled "Totally Consumed: An Authentic Worshiper." If you have not attended please come and worship with us as we examine Romans 12:1-2 enlight of worship and how it applies to our lives.
We have titled our Wednesday night services "REFUGE." I want this time each week to be a refuge for myself and our students to get refreshed, renewed, and reminded of what Jesus has called us to and what He has in store for us. For those that have not entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ we want to present an evironment where they can come to know Him, for He is truly our refuge (Psalm 18:2).
We finished looking at the topic of personal worship last night and will be looking at the topic of corporate worship next week. As we continue this theme of being an authentic worshiper I have a question for you to consider - What are we known for? What am I known for? What are you known for? How would a visitor view our attitudes and actions in a typical Wednesday night service or even a Sunday morning service? How would they view you in the classroom and the hallways of the school in which you attend? How would they view me while I am at my workplace Monday thru Friday? Hmmmm. You see, this is where our worship is lived out - everywhere.
Be encouraged,
SB
