September is almost over and it has been a great month. We have started going through the letter of Philippians on Wednesday nights at Refuge. Also, we have started our new Sunday School year with StudentLife's curriculum on the life of Christ. Our 10-12th grade group is using the daily devotional book that goes along with the curriculum and I am already hearing students talk about doing their "quiet times" by using those books. That is good stuff and exciting!
Our students also showed up for outreach this month. We had nine students that went out into the community with me and they distributed over ninety doorhangers. We had a blast and are ready to reach more of our community with a simple "touch." We plan on doing more activities that will allow our students to live out their relationship with Jesus through touching our community. Pray for us as we continue to strive to live out Who is living in us.
October's fun event will be YouthQuake in Cullman, AL on October 16th. We will leave at 10:30am and be back around 11:30pm. I need all students to signup by October 3rd so I can order tickets. Look in your worship bulletin Sunday for more details.2 Timothy 2:2,
